Hi Experts
I am in the process of attaching an OSD3358-512M-BCB to Wifi and Bluetooth (CY4343W 1DX module). I am following you AppNote: https://octavosystems.com/app_notes/adding-wifi-with-cypress-cy4343w-osd335x/
In section “3.1.3 Enabling the Module” you write “the WL_HOST_EN signal is declared as GPIO bank 3 bit 7 which can be found in […] Figure 5”. However, Figure 5 does not show an WL_HOST_EN signal anywhere. Hence, I assume you mean WL_REG_ON. Then again WL_REG_ON is connected to ball B16 (GPMC_AD10) which would correspond to GPIO0_26 in the AM3358.
Could you elaborate how this worked in your case?
(especially since in line 9 of the device tree node of section 3.1.3 you have “gpio = <&gpio3 7 0>;” which is according to the text). Is Figure 5 missing a section or is the text and device tree node wrong (imho it should be gpio0 26)?
Further, could you provide the same information for configuring the Bluetooth section using these devices?
Thanks a lot!
QJ
Hello QumJo,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You’re right. Actually, the pin configuration is correct in the device tree files available for download under section 1 of the app note (https://octavosystems.com/files/adding-wifi-to-your-design-cypress-cy4343w-osd335x/).
We will soon update Figure 5 to accurately reflect the pin configuration from the provided device tree files.
