Hello, I was looking into the design for the Smallest 1GHz Linux Edge Computing Platform board and noticed it doesn’t have a clamping circuit on the VDDSHV_3P3V and SYS_RTC_1P8V rails. Was this omitted by accident or is there a reason it’s not needed on this design? Thanks!
If you can guarantee the behavior of the power rails attached to VDDS and VDDSHVx do not violate the AM3358 specification, then you do not need the clamping circuit. Please see the full write up on the clamping circuit in the application note:
