OSD32MP15x_MinimalConfig.ioc project is not working

Hello there,

I got this board and I tried to follow the instructions:

STM32MP1 CubeMX Tutorial for OSD32MP15x

to modify the DeviceTree using the project OSD32MP15x_MinimalConfig.

Using Ubuntu, when I load the project, I get the error:

“The DeviceTree location path is invalid. The drive [C:] doesn’t exist in your path”

Checking the ioc file, DeviceTree path is pointing to:

“C\:\\Users\\MyPC\\Octavo\\CubeMX Update 6.0.1\\brk\\OSD32MP157C-512M-BAA_MinimalConfig\\CA7\\DeviceTree\\”

I tried to change the settings from “Project Manager” tab but there is no way to change nothing.

Reading CubeMx manual, I tried to import the project instead of load. I set the MCU/MPU selector to STM32MP157C-DK2->TFBGA361 package but I also get an error:

“Import STM32MP157CACx not supported (multiple context)”

Any clue to change the project settings?

Unfortunately, CubeMX sets the default “Device Tree Root Location” path to the directory in which the CubeMX project was originally created. At the moment, manual updates to the path is not allowed.

You can get over this by doing the following:

1. Download the OSD32MP15x_MinimalConfig.zip from the OSD32MP1 CubeMX app note page and extract it.
2. Download and install the latest CubeMX software on your Ubuntu machine.
3. File > Load Project > OSD32MP157C-512M-BAA_MinimalConfig.ioc (Migrate the project to latest version if necessary)
4. File > Save Project As > Choose new folder or directory of your choice on your PC

NOTE: Once the project is saved to a new location, the “Device Tree Root Location” will automatically get updated to that new location on your PC.

5. Generate Code
