OpenSTLinux vs Debian

Of course the OpenSTLinux distro is the one supported by ST Microelectronics on the STM32MP1 platform.

I realize this is a very broad question, but what are the advantages to using OpenSTLinux versus Debian like provided with the Debian SDK?

Our company has a custom board based on the OSD32MP1 and we want to select the best distro for both development and production.
