Tagged: standby mode
Hello,
We are hoping to utlize the standby mode inorder to save power. The device tree files for the SM board does not allow for this but the orginal beagbone device tree files do.
We have tried reverting back to am3xx.dtsi file instead of using the osd335x-sm.dtsi. With doing this we also use a am335x-osd335x-common.dtsi file as well as our own custom dts file. I have attached two of the files for your review. We are not having any luck getting our custom board into or out of standby mode.
Do you have any advice how to use this low power mode with the SM device?
April,
You should be able use standby mode on by default on a supporting kernel. See https://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_Power_Management_Standby_User%27s_Guide for more information on low power states.
Can you upgrade to a current version of the Beagle image and try again?
Best,
Neeraj
