Tagged: eMMC Flashlayout
On OSD32MP1-RED board, eMMC boot1 and boot2 partitions are of 8MB each and fip (u-boot) offset is FIP_OFF=0x00080000 defined in generate_tsv.sh
On our custom board, eMMC boot1 and boot2 partitions are of 4MB each and flashing is failing at fip (u-boot) partition ID 0x06.
Do I need to change the FIP offset to account for 4MB boot partition size? how do I calculate the new offset and where to change it.
Flashing partitions 0x01 to 0x05 is OK.
Your help is much apprciated.
Farid,
Please take a look at the example Flashlayout file for eMMC here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32CubeProgrammer_flashlayout#e-E2-80-A2MMC_with_FIP. Starter Package from ST(https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1starter.html) also has several examples: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Starter_Package_-_images.
Best,
Neeraj
