Welcome to the OSD32MP1 System-in-Package Support forum.  This is where you will find the latest information on the MP1 as well as get the most direct access to our engineers.  Let us know how we can help!

I was added to the alpha community for this SiP – thanks! Is there a proposal for the reference, evaluation, or development platforms for the OSD32MP15x?

              Hi @colnel486,

After you create your account I have to give you access to the alpha group.  I have just done that.  You should now see the new forum.

              Thanks,

              Greg

            Hi,

i would like to follow the STM32MP1 CubeMX Tutorial for OSD32MP15x app note https://octavosystems.com/app_notes/stm32mp1-cubemx-tutorial-for-osd32mp15x/
using the STM32MP157C-DK2 development platform from ST. The idea is to work with the ST board until there is an Octavo board available, but that my SW solution can be valid for my custom HW even if it is developed using the ST board.

There is something that is not clear to me. The OCTAVO PART NUMBER>_MinimalConfig.ioc configuration is using some fixed settings mainly for the Ocatvo SiP DDR configuration. But can an Octavo SiP DDR configuration with specific settings used in the STM32MP157C-DK2 board (that will probably have different DDR memory settings)? Is this possible?? Can the processor boot?
            Thanks
            Alberto

              Hey Aliberal,

The DDR type and specification used in OSD32MP1 is the same as the one on the DK2 board. So, DDR configuration for both can be interchangeable. The tuning parameters might differ a little. But, they can be easily regenerated with CubeMX DDR testing suite. We have tested the <OCATVO PART NUMBER>_MinimalConfig.ioc on a standard DK2 board and it works.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

              Best,

              Neeraj
