Hi all;
I just received my MP1 RED board and built the image as described in the OSD32MP1 Debian SDK. Following along in the instructions I attempt to flash the device using STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=USB1 -w ./deploy/FlashLayout_emmc_osd32mp1-red-trusted.tsv
This works… just *very* slowly. To flash the 64MB bootfs image for example takes 5 minutes. I see the tool claiming it’s talking to the device using high speed USB (480Mbps) but something feels very wrong.
Are these flashing speeds normal and expected, or is something going on? If it’s abnormal, does anyone have any suggestions what might be going wrong?
Thanks,
Matt
Answering my own question, at least a little. This appears to be an issue with my USB3 chipset and libusb on Ubuntu 18.04. If I plug into a USB2 port things work much faster.
Matt,
We have observed this as well. It does not seem to be related to the dev board as most USB ports work just fine and some don’t.
Best,
Neeraj
