HARDWARE DESIGN REVIEW SERVICE

At Octavo Systems, we strive to make designing electronic systems as easy as possible.  We also pride ourselves on helping our customers turn their vision quickly into reality.  In order to help with both of these goals, we are offering a Hardware Design Review Consulting service to all our customers. Our team of highly experienced System Design Engineers will review the schematics or the layout of your design that uses an Octavo Systems device.  This service is designed to help you get into production faster by avoiding mistakes that could lead to costly board re-spins and project delays.

We have offered this service to a select group of customers over the years, saving them tens of thousands of dollars in board costs and delays.  We are pleased now to provide this service to all of our customers, helping them get to production faster!

The Hardware Design Review Consulting Service includes:

  • Detailed Review of a single design (either schematics or layout)
  • A 30 minute briefing call with the review team
  • A detailed report of findings and recommendations
  • A 60 minute review call to go over the findings and answer any question
  • Can be completed in as little as 2 Business Days with expedited options available (standard is 7 Business Days)

How it Works

We have tried to make the process as easy as possible while providing you the best possible review. Here is an outline of how a typical review process works:

  1. Review our Schematic Check Lists and Layout Guides for your product family. These documents help ensure your design is ready for review.
  1. When you are ready, contact your local Octavo Sales Representative.  They will be able to work with you to schedule the review.
  2. Collect the required information listed below, put it into a ZiP file and send to Octavo via the method discussed with your Octavo Contact
  3. Schedule the 30-minute Briefing Call
  4. Octavo Completes the Review and Sends you a Report
  5. Schedule the 1-hour Review Call at a time convenient for you

That’s It.  Just 6 easy steps.

Required Information

In order to provide the best possible results for you, we require you to provide us with some information regarding the design that you would like us to review.  A list of the needed items is below.  If you cannot provide this information before the briefing call, it could cause a delay in the delivery or an incomplete report.

  • Full Schematic/Layout Files in Native Format
  • Datasheets or links to Datasheets for all components touching Octavo Device (including all power components)
  • Background on the project/system
  • Comments on design decisions
