i2c error with rc_calibrate_mag

Hi,

I just received my OSD3358-SM-RED board, and I was attempting to follow the quick start video that talks about the REDSensorDisplay example. However, when running the rc_calibrate_imu and rc_calibrate_mag, I receive the following erros:

ioctl slave address change failed
rc_initialize)imu_dmp failed at rc_i2c_init
Failed to complete maagnetometer calibration

Is this familiar to anyone, and is there a fix?

The updated release of OSD3358-SM-RED software(v10.3) removed the sensors from userspace to the kernel space. So, you should be able to access the sensors in /sys/bus/iio/devices

 

If you do want to utilize the userspace library, we suggest you use the v9.1 image. Both images are available here: https://octavosystems.com/octavo_products/osd3358-sm-red/#Software
